My Background and Expertise

I hold a PhD in Neuroscience from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, where I specialized in rodent behavioral models, physiological recordings, and advanced data analyses. My doctoral work focused on linking brain activity with behavioral and physiological outputs, providing valuable translational insights for neurodevelopmental disorders.

Following my PhD, I joined a CNRS/INSERM institute where I dedicated myself advancing neuroscience research through managing cross-functional projects in behavioral neuroscience, home-cage monitoring, and AI-driven analysis techniques. My expertise includes the development and implementation of cutting-edge home-cage monitoring systems to identify complex behaviors and assess physiological parameters.

Innovator and Collaborator

I have successfully led the development of tools and software for behavioral data analysis, such as a Python library designed for streamlined data processing in home-cage systems. My leadership on multi-disciplinary projects has resulted in high-impact publications and significant advances in the field of preclinical neuroscience.

I’m a member of the COST action TEATIME, where we try to improve biomedical research by automated behaviour monitoring in the animal home-cage.
I am also active moderator of TheBehaviourForum an online forum for discussion of animal behaviour experiments (more info here).

Beyond research, I am deeply committed to fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing in the neuroscience community, creating platforms for scientists to exchange insights and build innovative solutions together.
